Description

Office and Commercial Part
The central air-conditioning installation is water-based with a double-pipe system and heating/cooling mode switching. Heating is supplied by a subscriber station of the thermo-power plant, and cooling - by a cooling centre with high-efficiency water-cooling units with rotary compressors.
The microclimate in the individual rooms is maintained by ventilation convectors fixed into the suspended ceiling of the shops or the decorative coatings of the office floors. Heating and cooling consumption is measured individually.
All shops have fresh air supply systems.
Residential Part
The central heating installation is served by a subscriber station of the thermo-power plant, with separate systems for each entrance. The common vertical standpipes are located in the staircase cage - there are no common installations in the apartments.
Each apartment is fitted with aluminium radiators in a separate circuit, with a possibility for controlling the temperature in each individual room, and with a remotely-measured heating meter for the whole apartment, i.e. without the necessity of providing access to the apartment.
The installation is made of polyethylene pipes (with an over 50-year warranty) placed into the floor plastering.

Sofia was founded three thousand years ago, by an ancient Thracian tribe, the ‘Serdi’, and known as Serdica until the beginning of the ninth century. Nowdays Sofia is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Bulgaria. Owing to its altitude, the summers are moderately hot and the winters cold and snowy, making spring and autumn the best times in which to visit. Since ancient times the city was famous for the abudance of cold and thermal mineral water springs in and around it. The water is still available today and is praised for its numerous qualities. Springs may be found in the city center, as well as in the neighbourhoods: Kniazevo, Gorna Bania, Bankia, Ovcha Kupel and Ivaniane.

On the other hand, this is where the country's most qualified manpower is concentrated. It is indicative that the level of unemployment is comparatively higher in the capital. At the same time, manpower is not expensive. On the contrary, considering its high qualification it is relatively cheap.
The number of telephones in Sofia is large. City transport is relatively well organised compared to other towns and cities in the country. Road facilities are in good condition.
Investment, as well as any other form of economic activity on the territory of Sofia, is facilitated by the fact that respective programs have been adopted for the development of the urban infrastructure, the city environment, the restructuring of the municipal economy and the development of sectors with a direct bearing on the life of citizens. These are primarily transport, central heating, cleanness, water supply and sewerage.
Independence of the municipality is guaranteed by the economy of its budget. The budget is basis of implementation of all activities of the Sofia Municipality. The collection of revenues is a prerogative of Sofia tax administration which is subordinated to the Ministry of Finance.
