The property we offer to you has amazing views of the Rose Valley and the Stara Planina mountain.
The village is approximately 22 kms from the town of Karlovo. The village offers cafes and shops, post office and regular bus service into Karlovo town.
The house has an area of 50m2, it is very old and will need rebuilding. There is also a basement area. The property has electricity but would need water connecting. Water connection is in the neighbouring property. The property is accessed by a track leading of the main road through the village.
The garden is 700m2 and there are several fruit trees and enough room for parking. The position of the property has the best of both worlds, the laid back Bulgarian village life, but high enough above to provide privacy and some stunning views of the gorgeous scenery in the region, the Stara Planina mountains and the Valley of the Roses.
This property could be made into a perfect holiday home and has rental potential for hikers fond of walking due to the proximity to the Sredna Gora hills. The nearby towns of Karlovo and Sopot provide many facilities required for every day life in Bulgaria, plus offering many places of interest. The village is also close to the Troyan Pass, the mountain road lading over the Stara Planina mountains.
Plovdiv is the second largest city in Bulgaria. It’s situated in the west part of Upper Thracian Lowland, in the Maritsa River valley. It has population of about 376000 and is located 140 km away from the capital Sofia and 20 km from Assenovgrad.
Plovdiv is one of the ancient cities in Europe; it has nearly 8000 years of history.
It arose in the 5th century BC as a Thracian settlement, called Eumolpia. Later the city was conquered by Philip II of Macedonia and in his honour was named Philippopolis. Romans gave it the name of Thrimonzium. In the 6th century Slavs settled in the valley of the Maritsa River and introduced the name Pulden. In 1364 it fell under Ottoman rule and was renamed Filibe. In the first half of the 19th century the city flourished economically.
In 1956 the old town was declared an architectural reserve.
The Ethnographic Museum is housed in one of the biggest houses from the Revival period. The house has twelve rooms with two craft roofs, and wall painting. Many of the crafts are presented in the museum exposition.
Another places of interest in the Old town are the clock tower, Sahat tepe, the ancient pharmacy, the antique amphitheater, etc.
Plovdiv hosts the International Fair twice a year.
