The village of Zgorigrad is located in North-West Bulgaria, 4 kilometers south west of town of Vratza after the \"Vratzata\" gorge in the valley of the Leva river. The land that belongs to the village is completely covered with forest. The village is about 500-600 meters above sea level. Today in Zgorigrad there are more than 700 houses. High above the village are the rocky peaks of the Vratzata, Babkite, Toshina Mogila, Bukuveshki kamak, Mednishki vrah, Iskri vrah, Kamena straga and Ravnio kamak. They are all composed of white limestone and create a gorgeous view. The village has given the name of a big tectonic fold in the Stara Planina mountains – the Zgorigrad anticline.
